Prayer was never intended to be a last resort

Built to Last

Make Room for Prayer

We believe that prayer was never intended to be a last resort, but a first choice. Prayer is what has always led God’s people throughout all of Scripture.

Prayer is what Jesus relied on for strength, comfort and wisdom. Teaching and training people how to pray is no longer optional. We must further engage the power and purpose of prayer.

The practice of prayer was evident in Jesus’ life, and it must become even more foundational for each of us as Granger Community Church.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

The Pathway

Three Ways In

Along this prayer pathway there will be intergenerational trainings, including life group and family experiences — and transformational prayer events to help guide people in replacing lies with God’s truth.

Prayer Cohorts

These smaller groups will allow people to be connected to both learn how to pray for one another and develop a sensitivity to listening for God’s voice and direction.

Training Experiences

Learning to pray and to connect with God in constant conversation requires work for all of us! This initiative includes more opportunities for training so that prayer becomes second nature for us.

Prayer Events

Opportunities to gather with others and pray with specific focuses will also be part of this new initiative. How exciting to watch the power of prayer transform hearts and minds!

Pastor of Spiritual Growth

“Can you imagine living from a
place of joy, peace and rest?”

God promises His truth will set us free. His truth pushes back darkness and replaces the lies, fear and shame we have carried for way too long. Prayer is the very gift God has given to receive His truth so we can live loved and renewed so we may extend that transformative truth to a community in need.

It is how we grow our trust in the unfailing love of Christ in our everyday lives. Prayer fuels our love for God, His people and His mission. He has given us the choice—will we choose prayerful dependence, an invitation to depend on God and the power of the Holy Spirit, knowing nothing of eternal value happens unless we join with Him?

As God’s Church, we are committed to investing in God’s priorities through cultivating a growing, vibrant prayer life. May we truly listen to and obey God, seeking to know and trust His voice to lead us daily to Go & Make disciples.”
