Internships are an incredible opportunity to not only grow and learn about your leadership giftings, but to also make an immediate impact in ministry. When we combine high-potential, high-energy, gifted leaders who are willing to learn from our unique ministry environments, partnering with key staff and volunteer leaders who are already in place, we’ve seen incredible returns on ministry and growth, for both the interns and the ministry in which they’re serving. Summer internships engage a cohort model where interns journey together through an intensive season of learning, observation and ministry projects. Here are a few highlights of the summer experience:

(College Students)
The Granger Academy provides an incredible summer experience for college students to deepen and strengthen their faith with tons of hands-on opportunities to engage in meaningful ministry across the life of Granger Community Church. College students who are looking for a summer work and learning experience that is filled with variety and opportunities to grow in leadership with kids and students, can engage this full 13-week academy. This isn’t just a summer camp counselor job, although leading as a counselor during Camp Month is part of the gig. The Granger Academy experience also includes classroom-style learning and training time, working through components of faith and theology. Students of the Granger Academy will receive $350 in weekly compensation and learning resources will be provided. They will also be placed in different support ministry capacities before and after Camp Month, such as Grounds, Facility Care or Café and Bookstore.

(Limited to High School Seniors)
If you’re going to soon be a senior, or already are, the opportunity to be a high school intern might be a perfect fit for you! Your experience as a high school intern will help prepare you for the responsibilities that lie ahead with college and your future career. You might even qualify for internship credit through your high school. Gain experience and insight during your senior year, into the workings of various departments across the church including Granger Students, Granger Kids, production, IT, communications, discipleship, etc.
