WHAT:As a part of summer’s fifth grade transition, Launch, Granger Kids is excited to offer a unique mission experience to help your incoming sixth-grader take a major step in their faith. We know how critical this transition can be and we can’t wait to partner with you in making it successful. In addition to working hard in serving our local community, we will have several key teaching/worship times that will serve as a rite of passage not only into Granger Student Ministries (GSM), but adolescence as a whole. It’s going to be FANTASTIC!

We are so excited for the Launch Mission Experience taking place at the Granger Campus this Thursday, July 31 through Saturday, August 2. Please arrive at 7 p.m. Check-in will be at Door 2. We will have a brief parent meeting from 7:30-8 p.m. on Thursday in the Atrium. In this meeting we’ll share some wisdom about this new phase of middle school life, as well as explaining how you will be given the opportunity to present your child with a gift to help them take their next steps toward Christ, in addition to a time of intentional prayer, when you pick them up on Saturday.
Please have your child arrive in and pack comfortable work clothes. Spending the night in the church does mean that we will be sleeping on the floor, so please prepare for that.
Other helpful items to bring:
- Bible with notebook and pen
- Change of clothes for Friday evening programming
- Sunscreen
- Work gloves
- Hat or sunglasses
- Bug spray
- Overnight toiletries: toothbrush and paste, deodorant
Things to leave behind: electronics, over-the-counter medicine
For those that have medications/vitamins/supplements, please present them in their original containers during check-in. Our med team will provide care as needed.
Pickup time will be on Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Center Auditorium, where you will present your student with their gift and pray over them. Please bring your ID for checkout.
