Women, high school age and up
WHAT:Join us as we deepen our understanding of the Bible and prayer by connecting with other women in community. We will journey through the book of Acts, focused on learning what it means to live out our faith and show real love through authentic compassion in action.
Coming up on November 20, when we gather for BE, we’re going to be putting our faith into action by going out to serve in our community. When you register for that week of BE, these are the different serving options you can choose to be a part of.
- Care Cards & Notes of Encouragement
Location: Granger Campus
We’ll partner with Girls Love Mail whose goal is to get notes of encouragement to the 250,000 women who are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. We’ll make cards and write notes of encouragement for women who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer. - Cultivate Food Rescue / South Bend
Location: 1403 Prairie Ave, South Bend, IN 46613
Cultivate works to reduce hunger and food waste in northern Indiana by recovering excess, quality food and redistributing it to school children, food pantries, shelters and more. We’ll help package and assemble meals that will be distributed to food insecure children and communities that are supported by the backpack program. - Hannah’s House
Location: 410 S Spring St, Mishawaka, IN 46544
Hannah’s House is a faith-based organization that empowers pregnant women on their journey towards a life transformation. We’ll assist with a service project (possibly painting but not confirmed yet) and get a tour of the home where the women and their children reside while we hear about the mission and vision of the organization. - SPA Women’s Ministry Homes
Location: 3404 Toledo Rd, Elkhart, IN 46516
SPA is a residential treatment program that offers women an opportunity to make positive and permanent life changes in a Christ-centered environment. We’ll lead an art experience with the ladies who reside at SPA. We’ll also provide and serve brunch after the art experience. - St. Margaret’s House
Location: 117 N Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601
Through the healing power of a loving community, St. Margaret’s House affirms the dignity of women and children by providing a safe space and meeting essential needs. We’ll assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch. We’ll also sort donated items and have the opportunity to connect personally by sharing lunch and conversation with the women and children who benefit from services at St. Margaret’s House.
