How did you first come to GCC? Why did you stay?
My husband and I tried it out when we were engaged and haven’t wanted to leave!
What is your favorite food?
Pizza, because you can put almost anything on it for variety!
What book has changed you the most? And, no, you can’t say the Bible.
My Utmost For His Highest by Oswald Chambers
Like the Bible, there is always something new and applicable to my current life circumstances.
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Chocolate chip
What is your favorite season, and why?
Fall. The beautiful creativity of God shows through as the leaves change colors. Football! Back to school! Sweatshirts and campfires!
What was your first job?
I was a cashier at Ponderosa in Goshen at age 14.
What was your childhood ambition?
I wanted to be a psychologist. I began college as a psychology major, but switched to education—which led to a lot more college! I ended up as a special education teacher and stay at home mom. I’ve definitely used my psych classes a time or two!
What’s one of your proudest moments?
When my kids asked Jesus into their hearts. Also, anytime I catch them singing Out Loud songs in the car!
