Back to School Clothing Store

WHO:

Anyone

WHAT:

For the first time we are hosting a Back to School Clothing Store at Monroe Circle Community Center (MC3). The goal is to help families provide clothing for their children and have a great start to the school year.

How does the store work? Held on Monday, August 2 and Tuesday, August 3 from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m., our neighbors will have the opportunity to shop for new and like-new clothing. Volunteers will be serving refreshments and visiting. Shoppers will be assigned a shopping assistant, who will hold items for them while they browse. At the end of their shopping session, they can pay for their items.

We are collecting new and like-new clothing items in designated bins at the Granger and Elkhart campuses through the end of July.

Items needed (kindergarten-high school):
New and like-new clothes for school-aged kids
Shoes (new)
Underwear (new)
Socks (new)

WHERE:

Monroe Circle Community Center

WHEN:

Monday, August 2 and Tuesday, August 3 from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m.

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
There are several available opportunities for volunteers to serve our neighbors at MC3 during this event. You could help shoppers check in, work the cash register, greet and keep the space clean, assist a neighbor with their shopping or help with stocking the store or tear-down. Let us know if you’re interested and we’ll contact you with the details.
