We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of what God is doing in Nicaragua. Learn more here.
Our love drives us to obedience because the news of Jesus is too good to just keep for ourselves! Nicaragua is the largest geographic nation in Central America, and is also the second poorest in the Americas—more than 48% of its 5.9 million people live below the poverty line and 79% live on less than $2/day. The people groups in Nicaragua represent an eclectic mix of Christianity, traditional tribal religions, shamanism and “Voodoo.” Despite considerable foreign aid and Non-Governmental Organization presence throughout the country, many of its largely village-based inhabitants exist daily in desperate darkness, both spiritually and materially.
What are we doing in Nicaragua?
Granger Community Church is in partnership with a Nicaraguan pastor by the name of Pastor Earl. Pastor Earl has planted 13 churches, oversees two schools, runs an orphanage, a feeding center and is involved in a variety of other ministries that bless the community of Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua. We are grateful for the opportunity to come alongside him and to be a part of what God is doing in Nicaragua. Some of our time there is spent providing sports opportunities for the kids living in the orphanage and helping with a variety of work-based projects to improve the property and the living conditions of the children. We also play an active role in outreach by providing food to an impoverished community through a feeding center, and a variety of other projects.
